Toni Ahlqvist Presents Insights from SF4S Project at ISPIM Innovation Conference

We are thrilled to share an update from the 2023 ISPIM Innovation Conference, which centered on the theme of "Innovation and Circular Economy." During the event, our colleague, Toni Ahlqvist, had the honor of delivering a presentation entitled "Mapping Foresight and Sustainability Competences: Insights from the SF4S Project."

In his presentation, Toni Ahlqvist provided a comprehensive analysis of the wealth of data collected in the context of our ongoing project, "Strategic Foresight for Sustainability" (SF4S). The project, a collaborative effort with consortium partners, involved an extensive series of interviews and related focus group sessions conducted between October 2022 and January 2023.

Key Takeaways from Toni Ahlqvist's Presentation:

  1. Extensive Sample Coverage: The SF4S project's strength lies in its extensive organizational and geographical coverage, which ensures a diverse and representative dataset.

  2. Cluster Domain Diversity: The sample includes a variety of organizations from three SF4S cluster domains: agri-food, health, and mobility, offering a broad perspective on sustainability and foresight.

  3. Expert Insights: The dataset also includes interviews with foresight, policy, and consultancy experts, enriching the analysis with diverse perspectives.

  4. Barriers and Opportunities: Importantly, the interviews have shed light on the perceived barriers and opportunities for digital and sustainable transformations within organizational contexts.

Toni Ahlqvist's presentation provided a synthesizing view of meta-level results that hold relevance for all organizations with innovation management interests.
