Supporting the Transition to a Sustainable European Economy

Recently, the first official meeting of consortium partners for the Erasmus+ Innovation Alliance project S4FS (Strategic Foresight for Sustainability) occurred at the EDHEC Business School campus in Lille, France. Approximately 30 representatives from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers, and industry partners engaged in two days of focused discussions as we progressed with the project's goals.

S4FS is a collaborative initiative involving partners from HEIs, VET providers, innovation networks, and businesses operating in the Agri-food, Health, and Mobility sectors. Its primary objective is to support the transition to a more sustainable European economy by addressing the shortage of green, digital, and future-oriented (sustainability foresight) skills among students and professionals. Additionally, S4FS aims to facilitate knowledge exchange between HEIs, VET organizations, and industry players to enable Europe to develop cooperative solutions on a larger scale. These efforts align with recommendations from significant reports and initiatives, including the Green Deal, NextGenerationEU, European Skills Agenda, and OECD Future of Education and Skills 2030.

If you or your organization are interested in the S4FS project, please contact us at info@sf4s-project.com for more information and potential collaboration opportunities. Together, we can contribute to a more sustainable future for Europe.
